What Do You Want To Work On?

  • Act!

I trained at Howard University and have a BFA in Musical Theatre. Along with that training, I also use my experience with Meisner Technique, Clown (Chris Bayes-Yale Faculty), Linklater (Midori Nakamura-Yale Faculty), Lucid Body (Fay Simpson-NYU Tisch MFA Faculty), Chekhov, Grotoswki and more to coach actors for TV/Film, Theatre and Voiceover.

I help students with auditions, booked roles, working through artistic blocks, finding emotional freedom and finding material that suits their unique qualities and capabilities.

  • Sing!

I use my experience with classical vocal training with opera singer Chrissellene Petropoulos, the musical theatre program at Howard University and studying with Broadway actor Kevin McCallister and Linklater Voice Technique to teach my students.

My particular vocal teaching style focuses on attention to the ENTIRE body and on how the many mechanisms that help create your voice works. We will work on how to isolate and access different parts of your body, such as laryngeal positions, soft palate placement and more, in order to create resonant, free and agile singing. I also focus on relaxation, release, resonance, phonation and breath freedom.

  • Work!

Beyond teaching the artistic side of the industry, I really enjoy helping my students with the business side. I want my students to have longevity in their career!

That starts with understanding the business and understanding yourself. Having a healthy outlook on the industry is just as important as having a healthy outlook on your artistry.

We can work on finding reps, creating a healthy mindset, networking, building a casting profile, creating your reel and much more!
